Musab A. Alturki is a Senior Research Engineer working on the formal specification and verification of blockchain and distributed systems. In 2017-2018, he was a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania working on formal modeling and analysis of cyber-physical systems security. Before that, he received his PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2011. Sean joins Algorand from LogMeIn where he was the Chief Marketing Officer responsible for global marketing strategy, product marketing, ecommerce, communications, brand leadership, and demand generation. He also ran the Integration Management Office for LogMeIn’s acquisition of Jive Communications in early 2018. An experienced operations and go-to-market executive, Sean worked at Avid Technology where he led worldwide marketing strategy and operations as a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team. Hardware Founder turned Software Product Manager, he has held a number of leadership positions managing strategic initiatives and partnerships in a diverse set of industries including oil & gas, renewable energy, cybersecurity and now blockchain.
David’s breadth of experience enables him to successfully help companies evaluate the potential business opportunities that blockchain technologies can unlock while building realistic plans to do so. Prior to leading Business Solutions at Algorand, David was a Product leader at Carbon Black (IPO 2017, VMWare Acquisition 2019).
Rachel Mayer is VP of Product at Circle, responsible for overseeing product design and user research for the Circle Account, go-to-market and growth strategies teams. Since joining Circle in 2017, her leadership in launching a core suite of APIs and the Circle Account has been integral in furthering the company’s mission to raise global economic prosperity through the frictionless exchange of financial value.
Mayer joined Circle through its acquisition of Trigger Finance, a company she had co-founded. Prior to Trigger Finance, Mayer had extensive experience in digital currency and financial services, including as a trader at JP Morgan where she ran the FX e-commerce platform for emerging market currencies and rates. She is a recent honoree on the “40 Under 40” list from Fortune.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in computer science from Cornell University. Outside of work, Miami-based Mayer enjoys spending time with her two young children and adopted dog.
Jay received his PhD in Computer Science from Brown University. Since 2008, he has been an assistant professor of computer science, first at Brigham Young University, and then at Vassar College, and now is an associate professor of computer science at UMass Lowell.
Alex McDougall is a seasoned investor, speaker and advisor specializing throughout the full lifecycle of companies from early stage to multinational institutions. Starting his career as an investment banker at the Bank of Montreal, Alex led multiple projects and teams across BMO Capital Markets, including Fintech, M&A, and Financial Institutions.

Silvio Micali has been on the faculty at MIT, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department, since 1983. Silvio’s research interests are cryptography, zero knowledge, pseudorandom generation, secure protocols, and mechanism design and blockchain. In particular, Silvio is the co-inventor of probabilistic encryption, Zero-Knowledge Proofs, Verifiable Random Functions and many of the protocols that are the foundations of modern cryptography.
In 2017, Silvio founded Algorand, a fully decentralized, secure, and scalable blockchain which provides a common platform for building products and services for a borderless economy. At Algorand, Silvio oversees all research, including theory, security and crypto finance.
Silvio is the recipient of the Turing Award (in computer science), of the Gödel Prize (in theoretical computer science) and the RSA prize (in cryptography). He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and Accademia dei Lincei.
Silvio has received his Laurea in Mathematics from the University of Rome, and his PhD in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
When it comes to spearheading innovative technology creations, Adi K Mishra is a CEO with his finger on the pulse. Currently the CEO of www.zone.game, Mishra brings a wealth of talent to the crypto table among other cutting-edge ventures. He previously co-founded ZPX, Singapore’s debut venture-backed capital crypto company, and is the founder of www.projectartha.com, a company that seeks to re-imagine finance. Mishra has an active interest in e-sports and blockchain which created his vision behind launching XTZ esports Tech, the first e-sports company under the DIFC Innovation Hub. In addition, he serves as an important and respected investor and advisor to several digital asset and technology companies. Mishra holds a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an entrepreneurship certification from The Graduate School of Business at Stanford.
Massimo is Algorand Foundation’s Chief Economist. He joined as an EAC member and Head of Economic Research when he was also serving as head of Rates and Credit Modelling, and Coordinator of Model Research, at IMI bank. He has been Professor of Fixed Income at Bocconi University and of Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies at Swiss Finance Institute Lugano. He was an Advisor and Trainer at the World Bank, the Monetary Authority of Singapore and several private and public financial institutions. He published several quantitative finance papers on top journals and conference proceedings, and is author of the seminal books Understanding and Managing Model Risk, and Counterparty Credit Risk, Collateral and Funding, by Wiley Finance.
Massimo holds an MsC in Economics and a PhD in Maths. His main areas of research have been interest rates, credit modelling, risk management, and the decentralization of markets through technology and incentives. He authored several early articles proposing blockchain and smart contract solutions for financial markets and financial products. His work on blockchain has been featured on CoinDesk, Risk Magazine, Bitcoin Magazine, Harvard Business Review and has often been quoted by institutions.
Arul Murugan is the Founding Managing Partner and Chairman of Borderless Capital, a modern financial institution and a Blockchain VC firm with an AUM of $400M+ across its family of funds. Prior to Borderless Capital, Arul Founded his first Venture Capital firm 11-11 Ventures which invested across 40+ technology companies. Prior to that Arul Founded Enrich, an Oracle-based SaaS procurement solution company.
His 12 years as Founder, CEO, and Chairman of Enrich were critical in forming his philosophy to growth and building a category-leading business. He acquired 2 European-based companies and ultimately grew Enrich to about 500 employee organization across North America, Europe, Asia and exited the business to large private equity.

Claudio leads PlanetWatch, a young company which decentralizes and incentivizes environmental monitoring by leveraging worldwide communities, the Algorand blockchain, IOT technologies and advanced AI algorithms. Prior to PlanetWatch, Claudio had co-founded Terabee, a successful French tech company. He started his professional life as a researcher in Theoretical Physics and later became Head of Knowledge and Technology Transfer at CERN, the largest physics research center in the world, where the Web was born. Claudio holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics and is passionate about Citizen Science and the Environment.
Geneviève is the Head of Applied Research (Computer Vision and Blockchain technologies) @ VSCO. Previously, she was co-founder and CTO of the AI-powered video editor and creator platform, the TRASH app for iOS (acquired by VSCO). Her work is about empowering creators with advanced technologies. She received her PhD in CS/ML from Brown University in 2016.
Cory Pugh is a proven business executive and has successfully grown private and publicly traded businesses across the world. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BridgeTower Capital, a global private equity firm operating out of Switzerland , US and Singapore.
Pugh founded BridgeTower with the intent of bringing traditional business to the rapidly developing Blockchain industry. Kevin Richards, MBA, is a dynamic leader with a passion for leveraging technology to transform business. With over 15 years of experience in financial services, Kevin brings a wealth of international experience and local expertise. Having led Bermuda’s business development efforts in technology and economic diversification over the last 5-years, Kevin brings strategic insights into how to leverage Bermuda’s strong international business sector to drive fintech adoption in public and private organizations. Jesus Rodriguez is the CEO and co-founder of IntoTheBlock, a platform focused on enabling an intelligent infrastructure for the crypto markets. In addition to his operational work, Jesus is a guest lecturer at Columbia University and founded The Sequence, one of the most popular AI newsletters in the world. Prior to becoming a leader in the blockchain and digital art space, Pablo earned a mathematics and economics degree from Columbia University, where he returned to earn his MBA after serving several roles in finance including private banking, hedge funds, and private equity.
Alex has over 12 year’ extensive practical experience of capital markets and regulation and policy, acquired through roles at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) UK regulator and the European Securities and Market Authority (ESMA).
Alex started his career as a listed derivatives broker, before transitioning into trading and market-making roles across both fixed income and commodity futures and options. Following this Alex moved to the FCA and leveraged his functional experience and operational knowledge of trading firms to directly supervise the UK’s biggest capital markets trading venues. Alex was subsequently seconded to ESMA’s Markets Policy team as a National Expert where his focus was across all MiFID II legislative and implementation issues.
Prior to joining Archax, Alex worked at the FCA focussing on the supervision of the UK’s most innovative trading infrastructure firms.
Alex has recently completed his M.Sc in Financial Regulation from Henley Business School, University of Reading.

Darius Sit is the cofounder of QCP Capital and Phillip Street Partners. QCP Capital focuses on digital asset trading both globally and in local markets (particularly Southeast Asia). QCP also specialises in crypto derivatives (options, forwards, futures) in CEFI and DEFI, with over 1.5 billion USD in assets deployed. Phillip Street Partners is a Singapore-licensed fund management company with strategies in both digital and traditional assets.
Prior to being elected with 86 percent support from Miami residents, Mayor Suarez served as Miami Commissioner for District 4 during eight years.
Mayor Suarez had many legislative accomplishments as Commissioner, including implementing ShotSpotter technology in the City, a state-of-the-art gunshot detection system, setting up a transportation trust fund, which allocates funds for current and future transit projects, and passing the Reverse Redline legislation, authorizing lawsuits against several major banks for discriminatory mortgage lending practices. As a result, the City’s lawsuit reached the U.S. Supreme Court, which ruled that cities have standing to sue banks under the Fair Housing Act for such discriminatory practices.
Mayor Suarez also serves as Chair of the Environment Committee, as well as on the Advisory Board of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. In these capacities, Mayor Suarez takes a leading role in collaborating with fellow mayors from around the country to preserve the environment and develop programs and policies that directly benefit the City of Miami. He also serves as Vice-Chair of the Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) and is the former President of the Miami-Dade County League of Cities. In his role at the TPO, Mayor Suarez championed the Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Plan, which was unanimously approved. The SMART Plan expands mass transit options in Miami-Dade County through six main corridors and new bus routes to ease traffic congestion and support future population growth. Mayor Suarez helped negotiate the Tri-Rail connection to Downtown, offering free ridership to Overtown residents for life. He also ushered in the free trolley system in Miami, which carries an average of 450,000 passengers per month.
Mayor Suarez is married to Gloria Fonts Suarez. They have a son, Andrew Xavier, and a daughter, Gloriana Pilar. They consider themselves honored and blessed to be raising their family in the City of Miami.
Ciara Sun is the Head of Listing & Blockchain Investment at Huobi, a world leading crypto exchange since 2013. She is often invited to speak at mainstream crypto events such as Consensus 2020 & 2021 and the World Economic Forum 2020. Under Ciara’s lead, Huobi established a Ventures Fund that is dedicated to empowering and investubg in early-stage NFT projects. As the head of listing at Huobi, she also endorsed multiple NFT projects such as APENFT, DeFine Art, Epik Prime and more to be listed on Huobi exchange, with the total trading volume of $23,620 Billion (2021 alone). She has also hostedNFT auctions on behalf of Huobi Charity that generated $1.4 Million in proceeds.
Ciara has rich experience in financial analysis, strategic consulting and corporate management working across multinational consulting companies such as Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte Consulting and Ernst& Young. She advised Banking and Capital Markets groups for 15 major banks and performed investment analytics to support clients with billions of dollars of AUM, including hedge funds, private equity firms, and investment management corporations. Ciara joined Huobi Group in 2019.
Chris has over 15 years of experience managing technical teams around the world and over 2 years of experience in blockchain ventures. He has successfully “exited” from multiple start-ups. He is currently a mentor at Harvard Business School, TechStars, and MassChallenge.
Addie Wagenknecht comes to the Algorand Foundation with over a decade of experience developing open source technologies that shape how we interact with our environment and the daily processes of our lives- from open source computer vision systems to fabrication machines and robotics.
Her research and creative work has been featured in the Vienna, Moscow, and Istanbul biennials, exhibited at the Center Pompidou, MQ and acquired by the Whitney Museum of American Art. She has collaborated with everyone from Google to Chanel researching and creating methodologies to develop atypical expressions within technology.
She holds a Masters degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University and has previously held research fellowships at Culture Lab UK, Institute HyperWerk for Postindustrial Design Basel (CH), Google’s Machine Intelligence Group and The Frank-Ratchye STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon University.

Fergal Walsh is CTO at Tinyman, a decentralized permissionless automated market maker (AMM) exchange protocol on Algorand. Fergal has been designing and building systems for over 10 years and has spent the last 6 years at @HipoLabs helping to build products for startups in a wide variety of areas including fintech, event managment, natural history curation, sports apparel, health care and blockchain based decentralized finance. These days he focuses exclusively on building products for the Algorand ecosystem, primarily in the area of FutureFi.
Staci Warden sits on the boards of the Algorand Foundation and the Global Blockchain Business Council; she sits on the advisory board of the Financial Technology Association.
For eight years, Warden ran the Global Market Development Practice at the Milken Institute, where she led initiatives on capital market development, innovative finance of the SDGs, and crypto-blockchain/FinTech. Prior to Milken, Warden ran J.P. Morgan’s public sector practice for EMEA out of London for six years, and worked in debt capital markets in New York. Before JPMorgan, she led the Nasdaq’s two microcap markets. Prior to that she held had senior roles at the U.S. Treasury Department, the Center for Global Development, and the Harvard Institute for International Development.
Warden has done business in over 50 countries and has spoken and written widely about capital-market development and the potential of FinTech and crypto/blockchain for financial inclusion. She chairs the Board of the Rwandan Capital Market Authority, a cabinet appointed position, and serves on several high-profile advisory committees, including the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) International Advisory Committee and the European Parliament’s Science and Technology Committee (STOA).
Chris is an Australian based technology entrepreneur who has spent more than 20 years devoted to developing innovative software solutions. He has applied these technology skills across finance, media and healthcare industries.
Chris strongly believes that empowering individuals to control their digital identity and personal data will create a more equitable world, while also unlocking significant opportunities to innovate in user centric business models.
Starting in 2018, Chris led the technical research and development of the Verida protocol; a decentralised, self-sovereign data network. He continues to shape the technical architecture and direction of Verida as it continues to drive the necessary innovation required for mass adoption of self- sovereign technologies.
Rachel Wolfson is a reporter for Cointelegraph who has been covering the blockchain and cryptocurrency space since 2017 for various publications including HuffPost, Forbes and Bitcoin Magazine. She recently published a Bitcoin ebook for beginners entitled, “Bitcoin: Down The Rabbit Hole.” In addition to her writing, Rachel is an enterprise blockchain analyst for Quantum Economics. Rachel has also spoken at a number of blockchain and crypto events around the world in order to educate the mainstream on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
